Dear Travellers,

Travelling is often associated with different types of risks. It is estimated that every third person travelling to developing countries will fall ill while travelling.

Don’t forget to consult a doctor before going to areas with an increased risk of diseases. Check Your vaccination status  and of Your family members too. Check recommendations for every country that You intend to visit. It is worth taking a first-aid kit with appropriate medicines, prepare clothes, get insect repellents, insure yourself against the costs of treatment and – if necessary – apply antimalarial prophylaxis. An important element is to educate yourself about the conditions in each country.

I encourage You to use the interactive calendar of travel vaccinations, which we have prepared in the Department of Infectious, Tropical and Acquired Immunological Deficiencies of the Pomeranian Medical University. It will allow to estimate the time needed to start vaccinating and better prepare for the planned trip. The calendar will remind you of the need to carry out vaccinations before the planned date of travel and contains guidelines depending on the route of the planned travel.
